FROM  OUR  AUTHORS
Glenda,
I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me. I was probably your most difficult author with my many questions, but you never ceased to answer every one of my e-mails and help me through all of my worries. It was a pleasure to talk to you on the phone and send e-mails back and forth. The guidance and support you showed was truly first rate and that alone is worth more then words can say. It is going to be a pleasure to be a JADA Press author. Thanks again for everything. I look forward to publishing my other novels through you as well. :-)

Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, can touch the class and prestige of the name JADA Press. That title alone is a work of art. Your company is on the road to huge success! I can feel it in my bones.

Thanks again,
AngeliQue Shatzel
Hi Glenda,
I must say, it has already been a pleasure to work with you. I have heard from you more in the few weeks of our "acquaintance" than I ever expected, and best of all, you didn't want anything or try to sell me something. It's so great  to hear from a publisher who really cares about you and your work. I'm sure you can guess from all my questions the type of things I was trying to avoid.

Thanks for visiting my web site and stroking my ego. It's nice to hear good things once in a while. I look forward to many more of my books being published by your company. You have already treated me with such respect and good words that I am anticipating building a relationship with you and your staff. To me, a name says it all. The name JADA is what drew me to you in the first place. It's classy and elegant.

Thanks again.

Hi Glenda....
Just a quick note to thank you and your JADA Press publishing firm so much for all your help in the reissuing of two of my books -- A Need to Know and We Never Said Goodbye (and other stories) -- and for my newest nonfiction effort, The Medjugorje Encounter. And a special Thank You for taking me on as one of your authors.

In the time that we have known each other, you have also added to my knowledge of writing, in addition to the technical aspects of publishing and for all of these things, I will always be greatful.

Dear Glenda and the JADA staff,
The biggest favor my previous publisher has done for me, is to tip me off about your contest. Thank you so much for all your help so far. Since I am very new at  this publishing business and have no idea where it will all end up, it is a great comfort to get honest replies and answers that are coming back on-the-double without the suggestion to buy this or that package to fix the problem in question. I'm looking forward to a very good result with my delivered manuscript after our communication over the past weeks. I see a much brighter future for the outcome of my book with JADA Press.

Best Regards,
Elaine N. Lerbrekk
Thank you Glenda,
For your friendliness and availability and your downright caring about your authors. I've never worked with someone as nice as you, and I said that from the bottom of my heart. You and Suzy have made my experience of publishing Waltz With Me,  Alaska a delight. If everyone could have the experience I've had it would be wonderful!

My book was the 12th book I've published. The first 11 were self-published and sold (still selling) but they are very small compared to Waltz. This was the first "real book" to be published and you did a wonderful job.  When I got too sick to do the editing on it, you even got someone else to come in and do it. I can't thank you enough! The book is beautiful and I look forward to many sales and continue to be amazed at your availability and response to not just me, but to all of your authors.

I hope to see Waltz in the theaters one day as a movie, as that was the main idea behind my publishing the book ... to get the story out. You've done a magnificent job and if doesn't eventually become a movie, I've still got a great book.

Keep up the good work!

Mrs. Ivey and JADA Employees:
I just recieved my 200 copies of Sigsby DeNone, and they look great! I did not know that anyone could make a book with only 135 pages look  like it was worth  $9.95, but you all did. Thanks for a job well done!

Glenda,
I am so excited! Tim, my husband, was proud to see it too. He said it was nice to see what our money went to. It's one thing to say it, but yet another to see the finished work. You were right, holding my "new book baby"  in my hands, wow, what an intense feeling. I was slightly overwhelmed and quite emotional, and that's saying a lot. I never get emotional! Must be the moon phase. LOL. Again, I know I don't have to say this, but thank you for everything. Yes, it is your job to put out great stories, but I feel that you are more than that, You've done quite a bit for me, and I am forever grateful. Your hard work means a lot to me.

Glenda,
As a preface, let me explain my angst with publishing before I met you.  A California publisher approached me and asked if I could compose a book about the newspaper articles I had been writing every week on old La Jolla.  With no experience in publishing, I replied, Sure! then spent two years compiling and rewriting until the requested page count was met (I started with 500 pages and had to work down).

The book gets published. We win an award. It sells well.  However, two problems arise.  1)The publisher refuses to publish a hard cover version despite the fact that it had been requested by hotels and book shops. La Jolla, A Celebration of Its Past is a coffee table size book and would do well in hard cover. 2) I had signed the initial agreement with the publisher as a naive writer. According to a lawyer, whose advice I should have sought prior to signing, I cannot regain the rights to my and my husband's work. Top this off with the fact that the book sells for $19.95 and I receive $1.12!

So after finding you and JADA Press, I have come to realize that publishing need not be painful.  On the contrary, you have made the task a pleasure.  Both your expertise and your lovely personality have encouraged us to not only have JADA publish two new books but to revise a prior publication that had initially come out with 1st Books.  Your editing skills combined with Southern charm can't be beat.  Thank you so much, Glenda. Both Steele and I are forever grateful and look forward to continuing to work with you and to recommending you and the new JadaStar to all potential writers.  As President of the National League of American Pen Women, DC Branch as of this May (2006), I am delighted to have you as our speaker so none of our writers (including members of Washington Independent Writers) has any excuse not to publish.

Please know how appreciative I am for all the kind words below. I am humbled by your comments and more grateful than you'll ever know for taking the time to let viewers know your opinion of me and my company. You are absolutely the cream of the crop and I an honored to see your name on this page.

Hi Glenda,
It was a pleasure working with you, the editor, formatter and graphic designer during the publication of my time-travel romance novel, "Wyatt's Deck." I have received so many compliments on the book and fantastic cover. Since its release, I have and will continue to recommend Jada to authors who would like to publish their books. You're the best!

Hello Glenda,
My association with and study of the book business tells me that you have the best Print-On-Demand publishing house in the business. Thanks for your help and good luck.

What a joy it was to hold my book for the very first time! I had written French Toast, a White Cane and Memories a few years ago. I sent it to one other publisher before I was referred to Jada. Though they were very nice, they kept it for two years before informing me that they are unable to publish material that was not previously published. (I sent it to be transformed to Braille) So, after wasting two years, a friend of mine referred me to Glenda at JADA Press. I explained the book to her, my motivation for wanting to write, and what a wonderful talk we had! Glenda is not the "run of the mill" publisher, but a warm publisher who takes a personal interest in the hopes and dreams of the writer. Glenda is a nice gal who is the very personification of SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY.

I sent in my novel and soon after, I received a contract in the mail! Things went so smoothly. I think from start to finish the process was under five months, which is phenomenal, considering there were consent forms to obtain from Jeff Gordon and a photo gallery in the book. Not only did Glenda help me through each process, she was like having my own personal cheerleader! She gave me a list of the materials I needed to write and put together for her. If I had question, I never received a one line email. Being blessed with the gift of gab, Glenda gave me COMPLETE explanations to every question I had. Not only that, she even told me about other things I needed to know. She gave me lots of help and was always warm and friendly.

If I had to sum up my publishing experience with JADA Press, I would do it in three words: FAIR, FAST, AND FRIENDLY. Glenda Ivey is not just a regular publisher. She is the ultimate QUEEN of publishing. Glenda is a beautiful person inside AND out and she is a blessing to us.

Glenda, thanks for blessing my life and the many lives of sick kids who are benefitting from this book! We're grateful to you and Jada Press  for producing this beautiful book as a gift to Hugs and Hope and the sick children who benefit from the book's sale. For the first time, HUGS and HOPE has a reserve in our checking account. ;-)
